THC Owners Can Now Mind The Gap!!!
Our newest custom end link maker, Smartyjones18, recently had some Black Bay end links for sale and I wondered if they would possibly fit the THC. So I contacted George and he wondered the same. He generously offered to send me a pair to try out.
I didn't want to spend much on a 22mm strap if the end links didn't work so bought this inexpensive strap on da'bay, kind of a THC meets the Fastrider motif, it appears to be a rubber sub straight wrapped in nylon w/ a smooth leather lining. Very comfortable and nice quality for $15.00. While waiting on the delivery George sent me a link of someone who already tried and found out they would fit the THC. Well, the end links just showed up and I've confirmed they do fit! These end links are massive and allow a great fit for this relatively thick strap. This opens up so many options. Already considering some custom straps. Love the results and always preferred the THC on a strap for some reason. dP

Thanks for the kind words, everybody! The THC bracelet is a masterpiece and matches the watch perfectly. But for some reason, since my visit to Basel, I prefer a strap as it adds a sporty and relaxed vibe. Thinking of doing something custom utilizing the bracelet's beautifully finished clasp.

I would bet George can make a set as long as he has an example to use for measurements. dP

really cool thanks for the write up Dan!
For me personally the THC wears very heavy with the oem bracelet and the stock nato didn't fit well and was floppy as a result. I was frustrated to the point were I almost sold the watch. I've since found a comfortable look/fit with an aftermarket nato in tudor THC livery. It's great to have options nice write up. |

I do not want to be the party pooper but it looks to me that the endlinks are not flush with the lugs. That bugs me a bit.

They cannot run flush to the end. Think about it for a minute: the strap needs to be there too. At best you can run it down in top of the strap but if you ran it all the way it would limit the thickness of the strap.

That's a great looking strap! The offset stripes are like race car livery of old. Awesome!

That looks pretty good. I almost put my THC up for sell a couple nights ago. In fact, I had everything set to upload to the classified section but in the last second I couldn't do it. Looking at those end links and strap gives the watch a cool, fun look. I bought a sailcloth strap with orange stitching but unfortunately it lacked enough holes to tighten it up properly on my tiny wrist and I'm too lazy to punch more holes. Maybe I'll contact George and try out those end links and some other straps. Thanks Dan!
