AP ROC power reserve too low

Hi guys,

I'm new here and contemplating buying my first AP and have a question to ask of the experts.
I was looking around for an AP ROC 41mm and pretty much zeroed in on this watch. However when looking up the specs on the website I found it has a reserve of only 40 hours. I was quite surprised as I feel this is really low. If alternating this watch over the week I may have to keep winding it every 2nd day. Isn't this too less when most watches in this league boast a much higher reserve. also keeping the chrono on will obviously further reduce the reserve.
This has really put me off but I would like your thoughts please.
Maybe the Other option to consider is the Offshore then?

thanks in advance

If you don't want to wind it - get a watch winder to put it on when you are not wearing it.

Problem solved!

Watch winders are intended for this purpose.

I wouldn't say 40 hours is low, I'd say it's normal.

If you feel it's too little, then there's not much you or we can do about it.

Yeah I have a ROC and would never not buy this beauty due to 40hrs.

Neil - that's just a great looking watch.

Personally I don't care about power reserve time.

Oh it's nothing complicated, fancy or for that matter that expensive (a bargain actually). But boy oh boy does it get my juices flowing! I'll get it someday soon. 2014?

I was apprehensive to purchase the ROC because of the power reserve..

Well, I did and I can certainly say I have no regrets. I don't think the 40 hour reserve is a bad thing at all- especially since your other watches will have to fight for wrist time after you get the ROC ;D
