Tudor Snowflake Sub Thoughts?
I'm looking at this Tudor Snowflake Sub and would love your expert opinions on the condition, price and seller.
I'm new at this and still learning what to look for. Thanks! http://www.watchestobuy.com/TudorSubmariner7021.htm -K |

Hmmm. I think this May have a mismatched bezel. The seller notes
The replacement pearl, which is what it is. I'm not sure what to say Past that. It seems priced well, but we'd need a shot of the guards And case back too. The date wheel has an odd font I've never seen Before either. |

Looks good to me - too bad they didn't show the date on a even day as it might have a Roulette Datewheel
I like it

I like it a lot, that site is one of my regular visits. I've never bought there but the descriptions come across as forthright.

Watch case, movement and dial are ok. Hands are ok but replacement. IMHO bezel is recent replacement (dents are too crisp) and insert has been doctored to look vintage. Bezel discoloration is too even to be credible, and pearl is replacement. Better examples out there as dial is not pristine., unless great price.

I was looking at that too. Is the dial condition that worries me a bit as I believe it was common for it to "degrade". But price seems fair.

Totally agree; hands, case, insert all look just fine. And it's quite possible to have a bezel ring in very sharp, excellent condition (with crisp 'dents' ). I know, I've got one on my 1680 which is 43 years old and in pristine condition - it can happen folks. Not sure where these emphatic statements of fact regarding replaced hands etc come from. Oh yes… just opinion based on assumption. |

I've purchased from Derek and you will never meet a more honest and knowledgeable guy. His descriptions are pretty bang on and you definitely get what you pay for.

Thanks for all of your input. Just came across this blue snowflake. My inexperienced eyes thinks it looks pretty good. Any thoughts?

Quick glance - I like the first one a little better but I would like a lighted shot of the dial. The second watch has the lumps on the face (which I generally like sometimes) but that can be a dial failure at some point. 1st has better hands, insert, and maybe dial (need a lightened photo).
Just my opinion - without either in hand.

I have bought, more than once but not in more than ten years, from WatchesToBuy, they were legit at the time.
