New Love for Zenith

First of all, I must admit I had somehow lost some love for Zenith in the past couple of years. Nothing wrong with their new collections; it's more of the lure of other competing brands for wrist time and resources.

When Zenith relaunched the El Primero 410 limited edition at Baselworld last year, I recalled my joy in purchasing its previous version, the Chronomaster Chronograph Moonphase with annual calendar. It also revisited the pain of selling it subsequently.

So when I saw this exclusive limited edition of 500 pieces in the local boutique last month, there can only be one outcome. A timely Christmas gift to myself :)

The slate grey sunray dial and indices on the dial are beauties to behold. Would prefer 100m WR and size of 40mm given my small wrist. Well, this is still as close to the perfect luxury sports watch IMHO.

Enough said, here's the pic

Gorgeous

Love Zenith you get so much watch for your money from a true watch manufacturer and what more can be said about the fantastic El Primero movement. I really do not understand why there is not more love shown toward Zenith here in UK.

Love the look of yours mate wear in good health

A beautiful watch as most of zenith models, love the grey dial, reminds me of my grey ultra-thin.
Wear it in health!
Is it an annual calendar?

I love the clean lines of this watch and the red chronograph second hand, well done!

How big is this one? 42mm? 43mm?

Thanks, all :)

Replying to the 2 questions asked:
The watch is 42mm though it wears bigger due to the lugs.
Yes it comes with the annual calendar, which is a neat complication to have

That 410 LE is stunning. Well done!

By the way, it is waterproof to 100m.

I am in the same boat as you. My love for Zenith disappeared with the appearance of mr. Nataf. But they are back in the game and making some great watches. The EP is arguably one of the most iconic movements ever made. I am seriously considering getting a 36,000 vph. Zenith is a great manafacture and the price-quality is hard to beat.

Congrats on the great purchase!

Beautiful 'piece! I just did a quick search & found that it's 42mm; how thick is the case? Thanks!

Not unexpected, Zenith has just launched the normal production 410 yesterday: http://www.ablogtowatch.com/zenith-el-primero-410-watch

Still prefer the bolder two-tone dial and slate grey of the limited edition.
Interesting that the watch is still listed as 100M WR when it really is 50m WR.
At least this is what was engraved on the back casing
Watch case is almost 13mm thick.

Wearing one of its cousins yesterday:

Just got mine today !

Thanks Patrick, it is because of this topic I started looking for this model.
Luckily I too was able to secure one of the 500.

Also thanks to Bruno for trying to get me one locally.

A month or so ago I felt the time was right to buy an other nice watch. Had my eye on several brands.

Rolex, Breitling, IWC, JLC and a few more were in the running. But when I saw this one here and learned I had a change of still getting one I just had to have it.

What a sublime piece ! And for what you get not expensive at all. Zenith is very underrated at the moment and a true bargain.

Welcome to the club! It is a lovely watch indeed.
Huge congrats!

Zenith is underpriced in my opinion though I am not suggesting that they increase prices. Haha.

On the side note, my wife would not be happy to learn how I have influenced another to buy a watch when it is perceived as a poisonous hobby to her. LOL
