Hi, wondered what you guys thought about which is more popular or saleable.
I have bought a blue, intending to get a black one. The blue is now growing on me as it often looks quite dark anyway.

Blue is much more popular and easier to sell. Its not even close. I had a black one and a blue one, got rid of both and the blue gets about $500 more on trade-in bc of the higher demand for it.

Black sub all the way. It is a classic that has not and will not ever got out of style, IMHO.

Wait a minute. You have a blue 16808 and now want to get the black? Why would you want to do that?

Anyway, the blue Sub is much nicer than black.

I feel that if you have a sub, it should be in the classic stainless/black combo. GMT for colors and different materials.

Would love to get two, but can't afford it! If fact I can only get a head, hence buying the blue one as it came up first. I've been looking for six months! Only seen two.
Preferred pictures of the black, but had the blue since Christmas and its really growing on me. I don't think the blue dial gets justice in photos

A It has grown on me. (I don't think the blue dials are very photogenic. They look much darker in the flesh) I have it on a navy blue NATO
B I've realised that mine is not polished and has lugs over 100% thicker than anything else I've seen.

Funny, AD in Malaysia said black was more popular than blue.

Toom me about 2 mins to find a buyer for mt Blue TT Sub. Got most of my initial investment back. Wore if for 8 years and got it all back minus $800. I win!

As far as the black dial and bezel, I definitely lean toward the GMT. Currently , my favorite I enjoying the most is the BLk/BLU BLNR GMT.

For a small investment I would buy a spare dial & bezel insert and you would have both. That's what I did with my 16618. It came with a blue dial but I always wanted black. It was easy getting the black dial and the appropriate bezel insert. It's a 10 minute job for any competent watchmaker to make the switch.

If your talking about nipple dials it's going to cost you more and a lot harder to find.

Most popular would be the black version. If there is a common Rolex that's the 1.
But the blue version gets plenty of attention and is my favorite of the 2.
