Trying to pass the time… Birthday incoming.

Turning 30 in a month. Well I've been dropping subtle hints (subtle yea right!) to the wife and she has agreed to get me one of my grail watches. The only surprise will be which one. I've given here the green light on the WG Smurf Submariner or the YG Green Face GMTc. I'm in love with both these watches and plan to own both in the near future. Now I just need to be patient and wait till march to unwrap one. I didn't think it would be so hard but the suspense is killing me. Plus I want it on my wrist already! I have a hulk and a TT GMT non ceramic to hold me over but they don't have the "new car smell" anymore Any suggestions on how to pass the time

That's a great position to be in, a real surprise but one that you can't lose either way. Only thing I would do is to try and not think about either watch any more lest you start to favour and then hope for one over the other... so bury yourself in AP, PP or even Casio to get off Rolex for a while!!

What an awesome birthday present, either way it goes!
Good luck trying to pass time, not only is it a month away but you don't known which one you're going to get! I'd be tossing and turning all night every night until I opened the box...
My only suggestion is to monitor bank accounts/credit card statements (try to guess which one she bought) and start trying to determine places your wife may hide it from you!

I have a feeling its going to be the smurf… she liked that one more and I bet she goes with her preference. I have been snooping a bit but she's clever

Given you already have a green colored watch, I'm guessing 116619LB. Nice!

Funny you say that as I'm trying to guess which one so I can look into the other! Wouldn't that be interesting if I ended up with two of the same….

Then she wouldn't even bother. There has to be some suspense! I was shopping for one or the other to purchase for myself when she shut me down and said hey your birthdays coming up don't ruin it for yourself

Thank You! I never thought turning 30 would be so exciting! I've been trying to get an idea of what I got from my 2 year old daughter but she seems to mimic anything I say. I'll ask "Is daddy's watch blue" and she'll reply "daddy blue watch" then my wife will say "Daddy's watch pink" and she'll reply "daddy pink watch". NO help there lol
