Cool or Just Sad?
Hi all,
I just came across this and I can't quite decide if this is a cool Rolex accessory or if it would be really sad to have this as a welcome mat? I think I am probably leaning toward SAD. What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROLEX-Logo-Car...QQcmdZViewItem |

Why sad? I guess the thought of folks wiping their feet on anything Rolex would be kind of a contradiction, eh...

It is like the Sweatshirts with the Daytona etc... on them (Chronowear I think the guy calls it) it just seems a little over the top to me. Most of us don't want to draw attention to our watches when we wear them, so why would you want to have a Rolex mat at home or wear a top with a Rolex watch printed on it, don't get me wrong I think the Chronowear designs look cool, but I personally would never wear one? Like everything though, it is all down to personal choice |

Don't let Jocke see it... He'll use it for a car floormat or something. Wall hanging? Worksurface for changing bracelets? Photo backdrop? Place mat? Hemorrhoid pad? I think he needs one... Why not, he's got everything else Rolex

I would not want to advertise to anyone looking to break into your house that you can afford expensive jewelry, Peter

I'm leaning on the side of SAD !
Rolex make great watches but I'm sure their doormats are pretty standard :) Besides your neighbours will think you stole it from your Local AD :) |

Sad. Most of us get carried away with our WIS habits but it does seem sensible to keep some sort of limits.
I wonder if owners of these things also have Rolex coronet tattoos and name their kids after watches (have you met my Daughter Daytona and my son Milgaus?). I say enjoy Rolex, but get a life! Cheers - Simon |

No way. Why would you advertise something like that to any would-be visitor? I'll enjoy my Rolex watch and my Rolex books. For a welcome mat, a simple "Welcome" will do.

At some point it is more "bragging" than just enjoying a great a watch...lame.

Odd that it's only 2 inches by 3 inches. Must be for a midget's house. Hmm, who could that be here.... (yes, I know it was a typo).
