GMT Master II Sultanate of Oman
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if any of you ever heard of this particular GMT II, and if this is even remotely worth the 27000$ they are asking for it? https://www.chrono24.nl/rolex/gmt-ma...arch/index.htm Or is this another "Sea-King" model? The only reference to the Sultanate is the engraving on the back. Thanks!

No way. Anyone could go and engrave that. Without provenance (and even with) its worth nothing close to that price. I'd say, only if you had some special connection to the Sultanate of Oman.

Case inscriptions like this and motifs on the dial are as common as sand in these parts. They are worth no more than a standard model, in my opinion they are worth less.

I did not know that, I really believed that those dials at least where more uncommon. However, I do agree that an engraved case back does NOT justify the price of this watch. And this is clearly the only one I can find on the web. Thanks guys!

Usually it has an emblem on the dial and is indeed worth a bit more.
