Any thoughts on this case? If its authentic it sure looks good for being 54 years old.

Totally agree. The font doesn't match the year the serial number.

I'm pretty slow to openly pronounce something a fake and call someone a liar but I do find it amazing that a 54 year old case has ZERO corrosion on it.

Besides the "incorrrect font for a certain letter," the watch appears freshly stamped - the stamping is too perfect! The early 1960s stampings never looked this good.
