Is That Service Paper have The Same level With Authentic Paper?

Hi, I wanna service my GMT 1675 for regular service in RSC. All I know they will give the Service paper after that. My question is that Service paper is have a same level with the authentic paper? Because my 1675 don't have authentic paper. And when someday I wanna sell it, is that service paper make my GMT have a better price? Please really your opinion and information here. Thanks Guys.

Some people value service papers higher than COA's since they show that no aftermarket parts have been added since purchase. Most would prefer both though.

A service is a good investment for many reasons IMO.

IMHO, the service paper that you received from the RSC is as good as having the original paperwork that came with your watch. It's not unusual for Rolex owners to lose the original paperwork. That service paper from the RSC shows the buyer that the watch is not only 100% authentic Rolex, but has undergone Rolex certified service.

And another advantage to the service papers is that it provides some confidence that the watch is not registered as lost or stolen. Remember, a watch could be stolen WITH its original box and papers at any time after the initial purchase. If YOU have had it serviced by RSC, you can prove that you own it.

At least that's the way it works in the UK.

but if it was stolen in UK, it will not be detected in S'pore... so I was told by the sale girl at RSC (Tong Blding). anyone want to chime in on this?

Well, Service papers in my view certainly add a bit to a vintage piece as they give provenance to the watch.
Collectors tend to prefer original documents as they can add a lot to the overall value of the watch (along with the box and the rest of the bits).

I agree. Service papers are as good as the certificate, and as Mike states even better when you get them for a vintage piece.

The difference in value for an ordinary watch may only be 50 - 100 extra US dollars. However the service itself sill increase between 1/3 - 1/2 of what you pay right after service.

However orginal papers on a special vintage piece like Daytona or Red sub/Double red sub, will make the price go really up much comaped to the ones with just a servicepaper.
Your GMT is not yet that special

The important thing is that GMT is special in my heart. And I won't sell it in any price....Right now. Doesn't know latter...
