Sub LVs

Is it true that Sub LVs with the old rehaut ring and the new credit card warranty are actually desireable...and commanding a premium? I saw this in one of the rolex forum. It was saying that less than 50 of these were in UK.

I don't think those ones would fetch a premium. It's like the GMT II (old-style) where some dials have "II" and some have "||". Good conversation pieces, but not something that would boost resale value, imho.

No telling...I asked that question after a well-known UK afficianado made a statement to that effect.

My guess is that people are viewing this configuration as a "transitional" piece. I haven't seen it myself...

I personally think the CRB is going to have a love-it-or-hate-it effect on used watches. It won't affect the value as much as the individual buyer. There will be buyers out there looking for used watches with the CRB, and buyers looking for them without the CRB.

As for the paper vs. card, I don't think that will have any effect on pricing. People really just want the paperworkbecause it helps prove its real.

This will all be better known in 10 years. I am very pleased with my z zeries LV. A very nice Sub. You cannot lose with a solid Sub of any Rolex class.

Who knows?

I believe the first GMT IIc's were issued with paper certs. I guess to a collector down the road these might be something to look at.

I'm just not sure how long that road is LOL!
