Have seen this movement in several tudor subs but can't find any information about it.

Is genuine or is this some sort of fake?

Welcome to TRF!
I guess it`s real.Tudor Submariners,at least what I know,were equipped with two ETA-based movements,2784(older models) and 2824-2(since late 1980.-s until present days,in Hydronaut).

what do you mean you cant find any info on them?
they are eta movements and yes they are 100% real and sorry vuko but they used many more movements than you listed.
the tudor subs have used eta movements ever since they stopped used the valjoux 390 movement.
anything else you want to know?

It is quite controversial that 7928 has ever equipped with ETA movement as 7928 (or 7928/0) are mostly equipped with 390 movement.

My hypothesis is that if there exists transitional model of 7928 (or 7928/0) before issuing of 7016/0 that equipped with ETA movement, the serial nos. of such 7928 should be of the latest batch, i.e. late 5xx,xxx to 6xx,xxx.

What I find interesting is that I've seen this movement with this particular engraving on the rotor in several questionable watches.
But I have never seen it in a watch that was unquestionably completely original.

I have also never seen that rotor engraving on any tudor reference sites.
