My most recent acquisition thanks to our good friend BodyBump (Oscar) was a gently used 16600. Man do I love that watch. Seriously. It's a very nice compliment to my LV. Thought having basically 2 subs would be redundant but that went out the window very quickly.

My only drawback with it is the date given there's no cyclops is so über small. I find myself seriously almost unable to read it. And of course my Irish stubbornness will not allow me to even think about resorting to those damn bi-focals. Oh dear. Age is catching up after all. Still love the watch though

Anyone else think the date is teeny tiny as well or is it just me???

Progressive lenses are an excellent option for those who need near-vision correction. One has to really look to see that there is a near limitless number of corrections in the lower part of the lens. There is no gap in one's vision and learning to point ones head when necessary for optimal vision is an easy adaption.

I wouldn't think of trying to get by without mine.

Agree 100% Grady. I just started wearing them a couple months ago and didn't really think that they made any difference, after wearing them for that time I couldn't be without them. I got very sick in the beginning until my eyes got used to them.
I can even read the date on my watches now... at least those that have a date!

+2 on the progressives. My i-doc said some people have a hard time getting used to them, but not me. No problem whatsoever. I don't even really have to move my head noticeably to look out a particular portion.

I'm in the same boat - I treat the date window on my SD as a rectangular hour marker!

Love the 16600 but admit that the date is at times hard to see - would not change anything though - super watch!

If I,m sitting or standing still no problem with my bifocals, cant wear those transitions lenses. Too old to see while moving it,s a bit small but wouldn't change a thing either.
