Dman need your help on this one bud!

answer this for me as i have been wondering ever since i bought my panerai.

the Lswiss MadeL on the bottom of our dials, why on some models are they more spaced out and on others not spaced out.. look at these pictures, they are both J series and 279's... one is mine and the other i took off of ebay.

I noticed more panerai watches the "swiss made" is more commenly spaced out as mine is close together.

Do you know why panerai does such things like this?

Sorry mate, been dealing with a sick one year old for a week or so.

Best I heard was that there are two dials, one for the 240 and one for the 279 but the mixed and matched the dials with the watches. Don't know if it is true or BS, but it came from a person at Panerai.

Sorry not to be of more help.

Hi there Subking. My 240 also has the large gap in "L Swiss Made L". It drove me nuts for a while , as I didn't see any pics of with that extra spacing. Glad to finally see another pic with the same dial!

hey morgan,
Yeah it is weird as to why panerai does this... That is a nice looking 240! My 279 is now a 240 because it has really been on a strap since i got it!

I just ordered a grey elephant skin strap from a maker in paris with a double chocolate stich to match the dial.. White goat lining on the inside.. i cannot wait to receive it. that is one sharp strap you have on yours. I love it. Is that an OEM panerai strap? it really sets off that dial!

Hey..sorry I've been away for a bit. When I got the 240, I picked a panerai strap that was slightly less red than the one that was on the watch. I think this one is their stock brown alligator strap. I haven't bought any additional straps yet!
