Selling watch to trusted seller questions
Hi Folks,
So, I'm in the process of selling a brand new gmt blnr, and a trusted seller on the forum has offered to purchase it. However, it would require me to send the watch prior to receiving the payment in wire form. I've never purchased from any sellers on the forum before, so it's a little nerve racking. Is there anything that I can do to protect myself in this type of situation? Any recourse in case the person never sends payment? Thanks, JP |

I've sold three watches to one of TRF's favorite trusted resellers under those conditions and never a problem. All three watches were covered by my home owners insurance so I did not worry.

that is why they are referred to as trusted sellers. If you deal with one of them you should have no worries. Remember not everyone posting in the sales forum is a trusted seller, do your research on them and you will be fine.

With a trusted seller here on TRF, you will have no issues whatsoever. Done plenty of deals with them.

The term "trusted seller" sends a false sense of security...a lot people "trusted" Bernie Madoff...do your due diligence and exercise caution...

There are certain people here I'd trust my entire collection to.

Thanks guys,
Would people who have done this kind of transaction mind pm'ing me the names of the seller they used. I'm not sure if would be appropriate to put the person's name in this thread. |

When selling always "buy the buyer"
When buying always "buy the seller" Do your research and if for any reason at all you feel "weird" about the deal don't go through with it. I personally will no longer buy or sell outside of the USA. |
