Jubilee Bracelt Stretch
Chaps
I am being pressed to make a quick decision on whether to make a purchase of a 1968 GMT 1675. It comes with a Jubilee bracelet and hopefully the pic will come out below. Simple question - is the level of stretch acceptable ? Regards Mick |

Works for me too. Wear it on the snug side, perform a regular cleaning regimen, and it will look that way for years.

Absolutely acceptable. In fact it looks so good I wonder if it's original to the watch?

Jubilee band is much more flexible than the Oyster, which is why it is so comfortable.
As the others have said, that band looks fine...

I've seen a 2004 watch with about the same amount of stretch. I classed that as bad but for the age of your watch this is very surprising. Especially as I think this is an oval link jubilee which is prone to more stretch.
This will wear fine on the wrist providing you can get it to fit it quite snug. I wouldn't buy without a rehaul on anything worse because it tends to sit a bit sideways on the wrist. |

Ah then that explains why for its age there is such little (relative to age) stretch.
Rolex don't make oval link jubilee bracelets anymore, it does indeed look like it has the slightly more peaked D links so it must have had a bracelet swap at some point. |

As far as a jubilee band goes, yours is in great shape. I would grade it at 80% which is awesome...

Not bad and for a couple $100 you can have Michael Young make it like new

That bracelet has barely hit puberty.
