i have 9500$ to spend on a watch, but what?

ok, need some advice to what to get. Budget is 9500 US.
I like the Blancpain Bathyscaphe. I prefer dive watches, and dont like chronos.
what i have is a DSSD and a Pelagos.

One watch? Get the Bathyscaphe. The 'andozied-sunburst' grey dial is killer and an all business watch. Otherwise, I could suggest the Fifty Fathoms or No Radiations... Always liked that look.

Multiple Watches for $9500? If I had that saved in the watch piggybank today it would be:

SBDB009 (would suit your DSSD well - Holds good value)
SBBN015 (good beater - holds great value)
SBDX012 (not out yet (january 2015) but may exceed it's value down the road)

Then pocket the $3000. And yes, I've been on a Seiko kick as of late. But in all seriousness, the SBDB009 is pretty kick ass and leaves $5500 to spare. Something to think about as a bigger dive watch kinda guy.

Rumor is MSRP will be 280000 Yen. My guess is it'll be around $2300 after discount and depending on which Japanese dealer you chose. On Facebook Clemiko Watches - the dealer to originally leak the new catalog photos - quoted $2100 when someone asked. We shall see but I anticipate it's going to be a killer SBDX003 substitute that will hold near 100% (or more) of its value in time.

Ain't nothing wrong with that combo! Love the 114060 and considered it over the GV which won out.

Assuming you buy from the TRF dealers here and the SBDX012 is around $2300, you'll have $700 to celebrate two fine watches and check a mark on the coveted Seiko quota to boot.

Or the Hulk? Budget would be slightly over with the new MM300, but it'll give you that additional splash of color.

Personally, If the 116610LV isn't your flavor I'd do the 114060 and SBDX012 in a heartbeat. That's a lot of watch for the price.

I think you need a BLNR to offer some balance to the two big dive watches you have. Still a sports watch, with the added benefits of being able to dress up/down and gives you the second timezone for travel.

first of all why limit yourself to dive watches? there are so many other watches out there

anyway you can check out the JLC Navy seal or pam submersible. but i think king of dive watches is rolex

personally i would get a gmt or a datejust

Wrist shots with wide angle can make it look weird, but this pic makes it look like it wears bigger than it is in real life:



I have a 7" wrist.

Here's a terrible mirror shot from several weeks back at a Tourbillon where I tried one on for the first time:



Anyway the lugs wrap fine, and the watch sits taller than a Rolex Sub or GMT. It's definitely going to fit bigger than the aforementioned Rolexes.

Agreed. The BLNR is one of the best Rolex watches being made right now.

You'll be fine. These are very well made watches, with great finishing. The Cal. 1315 movement has been around for years and is very reliable. The 120 hrs power reserve is a real bonus

I just happen to have handled a BP Bathyscaphe yesterday, alongside a DSOTM and I absolutely love both...I mean seriously crazy about those two, so I would highly recommend the Bathyscaphe since you asked diver, but if you are into a little more casual yet super cool look, also consider DSOTM...since I am just sharing my handling of yesterday's watches, I would really just add that among others, I also handled a GP 1966 chrono automatic (no date) in white as well as red/yellow gold, and it is absolutely the best watch I have EVER tried..really I strongly urge/suggest everyone to atleast try/see this beauty in the metal..gave me great appreciation for them..pardon me as I know that was off topic..just sharing :)
