Bugger, damn and blast!

Went down to Ferntree Gully Watches in Melbourne on Friday to get Sasha's grandmother's watch cleaned and serviced, and I came across this little gem:

It's circa 1920's and probably contains an unsigned Valjoux movement, and when I asked Phil the owner, he said he was thinking of pricing it at A$850. I should have snapped it up right there and then - by the time it made it to Phil's website, it was $1500.

D'oh!

Thats a nice vintage chrono love the dial and blued hands.as for movement most properly Valjoux caliber 65, or a Landeron cal 3, or even a Venus.Would say it looks more 30s that the 20s with proper case lugs, most 20s watches would have wire lugs.

Yeah, I'm spewing about it. Then again, until I get a new job it would have been irresponsible of me to have shelled out even $850 for it.

The one thing that really grabbed me about this piece is the spiral tachymeter in the middle of the dial. Does anybody know anything about Imperios watches? I haven't been able to find anything about it online.
