Icon10 My ink and pen collection

Hello. I'd thought I would share photos of my collection of pens and inks.
My collection of inks are clearly skewed towards Mont Blanc, but make no
mistake, they make high quality inks that contain cleaning agents.

You have seen the tests of the inks that I opened. I also have Albert Einstein Mont Blanc Limited Edition ink, but it is in Mont Blac wrapping.

If you have any questions regarding these inks and availability, please don't hesitate to ask me either on this post or private message.
I absolutely love at least half of these inks.

The smaller boxes are ink cartridges for my Mont Blanc Fineliner pen. They are not suitable to mechanical pencils, Fountain Pens, or Ball Point.

The Fountain Pen ones, my three favourites are :
1. Mont Blanc Ink of Love
2. Mont Blanc Lavender Purple
3. Mont Blanc Midnight Blue

I love Eclat de Saphir. One of the best blue inks, very blue, not too bright, just right.

Very nice, I am after some nice MB cufflinks to go with my pen, think they match perfectly esp with a gold Rolex.

To be fair, I haven't tried the J Herbin inks. I will certainly have to open them up and
try them.

If they have the same properties as the Mont Blanc inks, they will be best used within
three months of opening them. At the moment I have opened 6-7 bottles already lately.
So that is a LOT of writing I will need to do now haha.

AK you may need to do a lot of searching for MB cufflinks, Mont Blanc have an online
shop on the offical site which may help. I am unsure if they have a different collection of
cufflinks in their stores.

I wish to travel to Europe next year and visit as many Mont Blanc boutiques as possible.

I may find a bargain there in the special section.

I got no choice, I have to do a LOT of writing before all the bottles of ink are spoiled.

Mont Blanc inks go off after opening the bottle 3 months.

I've got like 50 bottles of various inks and they have yet to go bad on me...

Well the Mont Blanc inks are organic, and if one believes that those inks remain in
perfect condition forever, will need to rethink that train of thought.

I'm pretty much going to use all that ink in that period before that.

I am not going to risk 1000's of dollars worth of pens just to save $20 worth of ink.

I believe the risk of having residual ink inside a piston filled pen is higher than feeding it with old ink. Just my opinion. I think the notion of "use by" date on ink is bollocks. It's just a ploy by the manufacturer to ensure they get repeated revenue streams.

I know what MontBlanc says and recommends for their Fountain Pens but I too disagree...I have been using the same two bottles of open MB ink for 4 1/2 years in my two favorite FP's and have never had a problem!!!
