Incoming (And Thanks For Your Advice!)

Shortly after I decided the Daytona was the only Rolex I would wear (prompting the sale of my Explorer II), I began deliberating the merits of Datejust ownership. Seeking only discouragement (yeah right!) I turned to my TRF family for tips and advice. You enablers came through again!
I decided on this:

It's a beautiful example (G-serial) in mint condition. How it sat in the classifieds for a week at the price, I dunno, but I'm glad!
I've been wearing Speedmasters and Daytona's for a while, so getting used to the size again will take a few times on the (7.5") wrist.
I didn't realize ALL the dates were red. I thought it was a roulette! Nice surprise. Thanks to all who shared thoughts on which Datejust, and convincing me the red sweep hand is cool! And thanks Andrew "afc1" for making it happen, and making it smooth.

Thanks for the kind words. The comments made by some of you on my "which DJ" thread were instrumental in helping me make my choice. I will always like the vintage DJs, but it sounded like the newer version offered improvements that I wanted to see and feel for myself.
The funny thing is, when these newer TOG's came to the market years ago, I didn't really care for them. Now that I was looking for something with a bit more "bling," they really fit the bill. My only question now is whether or not to source a Super Jubilee bracelet, and how?

Congratulations! The TOG, is a unique looking version of the DJ and, has already been said, is set off well, with the red sweep hand. Looks great

I remember looking at one, Tim, back in 2007. It was steel and rose gold, with jubilee bracelet and black dial. It looked a real quality timepiece and, I think, cost just over STG £4,000.
