Purchasing Grey

Have or will any of the "Trusted sellers" on this forum who advertise "Face to Face " transactions let a tag along Buyer to an AD or AR to see the process through?I personally don't see where it would create a problem and the actual buyer would absolutely comfortable be with his/her purchase.Any thoughts, pls keep an open mind to those who have some skepticism.

I am sure they would. Check with them. But, there's a reason why they are called "trusted sellers", right?

Not sure I follow your Yoda-esque question. Do you want a trusted seller to do your deal at an AD for fear of getting a fake?

What if all the AD employees are tied up and gagged in the back room, and the sales staff you deal with are really imposters, in cahoots with the trusted seller?

Guess you'd have to ask the seller.

BTW...Do you know of ADs who enjoy "authenticating" Rolex watches to help a buyer who is not buying from them?

Well then...IMO it's not a very useful scenario.
What is in it for the AD in your question?

Furthermore..If you choose a seller who has a ton - and I mean a ton - of stellar reviews you would be wasting your time...but that's your prerogative if the seller you are considering is game...and you find this AD you don't know...but are seemingly comfortable with.

Use trusted sellers and no worries. Had a ten minute phone conversation with one three years ago and bank wired over 20k for an 116618 sight unseen and no knowledge of seller except for forum positive feedback I read on the forum. Had it the next morning and no issues at all. Three years later I can say thanks Tony, aka Just Rolexes.

How's about $22k? More?

If you're concerned, buy at an AD.
It's highly likely you'll not be able to create
A scenario in which you'll feel totally comfortable.

It may be possible that the trusted seller take you to the AD where he gets his stuff from and buy it from there, if they seller and the AD are willing to do so.

Not stupid. It's a scary proposition at first. Wiring money to a stranger is even scarier. However, ADs don't generally authenticate. No motivation.

Hope you find the watch you want at an AD. You'll pay more but rest easy.

Not stupid! You have concerns that others may have, and you can get answers here from people whose experiences can help you address your concerns.
I would do with a seller as you have done here. Be forthcoming about your concern and ask if the seller is willing to do what you need to feel comfortable. However, be prepared that a trusted seller may not accommodate your request when they may just as easily sell the watch of interest to another less demanding buyer.

If this is your first or only Rolex, at that price point why not the AD experience

It might seem like a scary situation at first, but there is a reason why we use the term "trusted sellers" here. Thousands of forum members have bought watches from these sellers with almost no issues. It would destroy their business to sell a fake. It certainly seems as if you may need to buy from an AD for personal comfort, but I highly suggest you speak to one of the sellers on here and see if they can reassure you before you go the AD route.

This board is for the discussion Rolex watches.

If you have questions for sellers, talk to them; they won't all have the same approach.
