My thoughts on only PP AD in Toronto

For any TRF member here contemplating purchasing a Patek from the only PP AD in Toronto (shall remain anonymous but most of you from the GTA know who it is), I would like to share a personal experience at this AD just this week that confirms what many other customers have told me.

To make a long story short, the owner (yes the owner!) of this AD "colluded" with a very active TRF member from Toronto to cut me out of a deal that was already agreed upon between me and the aforementioned TRF member. Before this incident, I had considered this TRF member (if you read the PP Discussion Forum, you would know who it is) a fellow watch enthusiast with whom I had great respect as he always preached that he's "a man of his word, and a done deal is a deal".

Well, all I can say is this gentleman smelled a better deal from the local PP AD and shamelessly backed out on our already agreed upon deal(yes, the time pieces involved in the trade had already changed hands!) to buy from that AD.

After this most unpleasant experience, I will never spend my money at this PP AD again. And I've learned that there are a very select few TRF members who will honour a deal that has been agreed upon.
