SD weigh in
So, on the weekend, I was with my wife and son shopping at local mall. I was browsing through a store that sold kitchen stuff.
I passed by a scale for weighing food... stopped, looked at it, looked around thought... I should weigh my SD and find out the weight of it. I then proceeded to turn on the scale, took my watch off and placed it gently on the scale. Low and behold, it was 147g. I think I took out two links, so this means the two links weighted 1 gram? I believe the weight of the SD with all the links was about 148. Anyway, another WIS behaviour LOL!

The exact weight of the current SD should be 148 grams all up with all original links intact.
The DSSD = 222 grams. JJ

Maybe you need to dig around a little more with that brush the next time clean your SD. Sounds like those hollow center links might be becoming solid.

Will they com up with the half a kilo watch one day??? My AD was jocking about the new DSSD and saying the only way you can really take advantage of this watch is when you have your feet in a bucket of cement! this way you can see how long it takes to reach the bottom of the ocean!!!!

If I understand this correctly the new DSSD weighs nearly 1/2 pound! Is that correct?

Or pursuing JJ's other pastime, good thing he's ambidextrous, that way it's not as noticeable.

if it weighes less than the platinum DD, then it should not be a big issue..
yes, the platinum DD feels hefty on your wrist but you get used to it rather fast.. i am definitely going to get the dipsy!
