SD4K Bracelet
Hi,

I have read a lot of post there people are saying that they have removed the Diver extension on the bracelet. Is this du to the fact that you have the glide lock set at the outer position resulting in a "longer" clasp? If you have it at the inner settings I guess you don't get much effect?`

Sorry - difficult to explain, but I guess I wonder if also I should give this a try. Anyone that havn't removed the extension?

Its simply to achieve a better fit, as two links offer more articulation than the rigid diver extension.

Also, on my DSSD, I found that the extension seemed to pry the clasp open from the rear.

I don't have a SD4k but I did it with my Deepsea to get the perfect fit.
You could give it a try to see what you think.

Removed the extension on my DSSD and D Blue - it flexes easier and wears more comfortable.

A red scotchbrite pad will take care of those desk dive marks.

I removed the extension on my DSSD. It centers the clasp and makes it much more comfy to wear. Here's mine, scratches and all.

I removed the diver extension when I removed the stickers. Not needed and perfect fit without it.

Au contraire, my Southern Hemisphere friend... I always wear my watch as a back up to my dive computer, just in case the computer decides to take a break or get a sip of sea water. Which is exactly what happened to me in Cabo San Lucas. And my Rolex has saved the day and two dives.

The question still stands...

I kept the extension and have no plans to remove it. But, I actually use the watch when I dive, so I would guess the makes me a minority among the Submariner owners...

I have always achieved a better fit with the extension out. Clasp seemed to be more centered and the watch felt more comfortable on my wrist.

I'm into warm water diving - don't care about an extension, took mine off the day I got it. Wear it on every dive though- computer on right wrist 4000 on left wrist

Remove the extension, unless your going to depths that compress your diving suit and will need the extra adjustability of the oysterlock clap. If desk diving, dump the extension. I did that with mine and no regrets.
