What is this Tudor? How much??
Wondering what exactly this is? It seems to be a Tudor Prince Date, from its face, but whenevr I google that I come up with something that looks more - current Daytona-ish - ie very shiny bezel etc.
I have also seen this watch with a very nice leather strap - any ideas where I could source one of these watches from and what kind of cash I would be looking at? |

That`s Tudor Chronograph,Tudor`s all-time top model. The model on picture is so called pre-Tiger small block model, which means that it`s made before Tiger Woods started to promote Tudor`s(cca. 1997.) and that it has black fixed bezel.
This one(as all the other Tudor Chronographs) is powered by Valjoux 7750 movement, modified by Rolex`s engineers,so you practicaly got best movement out there that goes even better! Later, that model is slightly changed, they stop fitting it with Oyster bracelet and put on it Tudor`s own Jubilee bracelet(also very classy and beautiful)... About pricing...There are two Tudor Chronographs in AD store here in Belgrade, one of them with "Cote de Geneve" style dial and with leather strap(most beautiful Tudor that I ever seen) and other one is the same as on your`s picture, but with Jubilee bracelet and they`re priced around 2500 Euro`s. They`re not cheap watches, but they`re still good buy.And they`re discontinued models,so it seems logical that they prices will rise... If I have any money,I would ALWAYS go for Tudor Chrono!

Thanks for all that information Vukotab.
What exactly is the Cote de Geneve dial? Sorry I have very little knowledge of this area. |

Cote de Geneve means a striping technique that looks like this:
It is a cool feature. On a Tudor it is like a cream white dial with that finish going in the same direction as the striping on the JLC. Terry Newton
