SD 4000 alongside DSSD - any one get some pics?

Considering a new SD 4000, just wondering how thick it is?
Already have A DSSD which I haven't worn in a while, EXII is my most frequently worn Rolex, the 42mm is great.
Any side by side pics of SD4000 & DSSD & comments from owners appreciated.

Lovely watches. Love the beefiness of the DSSD. The Seadweller 4000 isn't all that thick, from what I remember. Its a good middle ground between the Sub and DSSD.


If your Explorer II never finds wrist time, I'd gladly wear it. :)

I recall several side by sides on the forum. Try the advanced search feature and they are bound to come up.

The SD 4000 is 15.5mm thick and the DSSD, if I recall correctly, is ~18mm. For comparison purposes, the sub is 12.5mm.

No,..that's my photo. It's the older SD with the DSSD. Close but not the same.

I'm not sure about the SD4000 being in between the sub and DSSD because I think it wears smaller than the sub although it is probably heavier.

You are correct. I was at an AD last week, and I saw them side by side, the SD looks and fell smaller than the sub...
