Scratched screw
Damm screwdriver slipped slightly and twisted in the head. I think it might have slightly damaged the thread groove but its certainly scratched the screw head.
I will probably get it swapped out at the RSC at some point, maybe in the summer. For now would a cape cod rub down be worth it and clean it up? thanks

I doubt cape cod would help.
If this is just a screw head, get it replaced. |

cape cod for polished scotch brite for brushed. |

Cape cod may bring it up a little, should certainly improve, just be sure not to use to much force as you wouldn't want to loose the screw heads depth, also the crisp edges.

Make sure to use the correct screwdriver. A non-tapered flathead is what you want.

What watch do you have?
I have some Submariner link screws (main links not link into clasp) I'm more then happy to post you one if you want? from my experiance (2 occasions) Rolex St James have changed a damaged screw/s FOC on one occasion it was one screw the other four but I would say this was more of a good will gesture so don't expect it to be FOC but I would say it mostly likely will be. |

I changed mine F.O.C from RSC. Otherwise, according to them, it cost just a few dollars. But do be careful as they some times uses shorter screw than the original. There was once the the new screw given does not flush with both side of the bracelet. One side is more recessed and one side is flush.
