16610 with lug holes and solid end links.

Was at a local watch shop today and saw a 2005 Sub Date 16610 with lug holes, but on a bracelet with SELs. I asked the owner whether he had the original bracelet that came with the watch, to which he responded that the bracelet with the SELs was original to the watch. Is that correct? It seemed odd to see a 16610 with both lug holes and SELs. Experts, what say you?

Rolex does not make watches by "model year", and so I would question your "2005" dating.

It is possible for you to find a 16610 with lug holes and an SEL bracelet, but not one made as late as you cite..

Y serial number was the last 16610 to have SEL's and lug holes I believe. Y serial number is about 2002 to 2003 I believe.

I think the lughole SEL combo could be found in A,P,K,Y serials in a few diff models.
Roughly 1999-2003

Lugholes disappeared (except for 14060m) during Y serial.

I concur.

SEL bracelets 2001, end of lug holes 2003.

This is my favorite combo actually, lug holed case with the SEL bracelet.
