Popularity of Rolex in Germany and Japan???
One of my favorite things about the forum is how international it is. The fact that people from all over planet earth are talking in almost real time is just amazing to me.
I think I noticed a strange anomaly. I have not seen one member from Germany or Japan. Is there a reason for this? Now that I think about it, I have not seen anybody from Switzerland either. Are Rolex watches popular in Switzerland?

Maybe the moderators could provide some demographics regarding the subscribers of this forum?

Jake, good observation. I know for a fact that Rolex is very popular in Japan, having traveled there numerous times for business and vacation.

I'm sure Rolex is very popular in both Japan and Germany. I'm guessing you don't see many members from those countries here because they have other forums that they are probably in. I have heard of a German Rolex forum that is composed entirely in German, maybe thats where all the Germans are at.

Rolex is very popular in Japan.
Unfortunately, most Japanese cannot read/write/speak English very well, making it hard for them to post in English forum. |

Greece although a small country with only 11M people, have more Rolex watches per capita than any other nation.
All the shipping magnets, all the oil magnets, all the laudering magnets, all the priests, soldiers, goverment, lovers, athletes, Olympic medalists, all the men, women and children are wearing Rolex. Which reminds me ..Guy has an accident with his BMW and is screaming my BMW my BMW my BMW ...but your left arm is cut-off ....and YOU worry for your BMW...?...a bystander tells him.... He looks on his left side..and sees that the entire left arm is missing..? ........My Rolex My Rolex My Rolex....LOL |

There certainly are German members here. One of them is a friend of mine from a German watch forum.

I lived in Frankfurt and Munich for the whole of 2007 and I can honestly say I didn't meet one other German with a Rolex. However, they have some great AD's and knew quite a few with Tudors. My colleagues seemed to be Omega people.

I am sure that fakes exist everywhere - but I wouldn't point to a certain direction ...
