14060 accuracy of 2 line vs 4 line
Can a two line 14060 always be regulated by a watchmaker to be as consistently accurate as a four line labeled Superlative Chronometer?
Is there a difference? |

Yes both exactly the same movement, now all Rolex watches are tested but the COSC test today is 95% pure marketing.Like the two line sub with say the cal 3000 or the 3130 the Explorer was COSC tested but exactly the same cal 3000 and 3130 as in the sub.

I had my 2 liner serviced by Rik dietel and he was able to adjust it to 1/4 of a second loss a day. Thats good enough for me. I can live with that. Thanks Rik.

The 3130 has a full balance bridge like the 3135 and is better adjustable. So the movements are different, but they should both run within cosc specs. |

The 14060m was also two line for some years though.

Z Series was the last of the 2 liner dials - circa 2006-2007... I have a BNIB one I purchased from a guy in Germany - Very nice and becoming increasingly hard to find these days

My two line 14060 from '96 runs great! Haven't checked it in a while, but last summer I was +2 second per day...those results quickly dissipated my obsession with its accuracy.
