RSC London

Hi all

I've heard good things about Rolex, London but have never used them myself.

A few of my new watches have the "inadequate cyclops magnification" issue. I've not posted pics but, take my word for it - they're not right.

What do I need to take with me to the RSC? Do I need proof of purchase? Service card? Nothing?

They're all new and within warranty period - will the cyclops/crystal be changed FOC?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, but I'm not looking to be told that I should just live with the reduced magnification - I've spent a lot of cash on these beauties and I would like it if they were all correct.

Hi Chris

In my experience they always want to ensure you have the rolex experience you expect and will usually accommodate your concerns.

Take your warranty card which would have been activated at point of purchase and they will do an evaluation. You can sit in reception and it usually takes half an hour unless you decide to go at lunch time when all the city workers drop in :)

They will likely book it in and give you a fix date if they go ahead with that.
the magnification is a grey issue for me. I'm not sure what tolerances they are publishing so I'm not sure how they determine wether it needs replacing.

I have a feeling they are glued on? So potentially it could be an easy swap, maybe even within the day?

Ps it's on the corner, practically hidden, if you are facing south it's on your right.

Thank you - exactly what I was hoping to hear. Do you think it'll be FOC?

Absolutely if in warranty which your is.

It's just the grey issue surrounding the book tolerances for the mag strength. If it was published the customer should expect 2.5x and therefore it's clear cut.
