What do you think of this

Nice enough - case is a bit soft around the edges for me.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. When you say "soft around the edges", do you mean over polished and is this to be expected for a watch of this age ?

Regards

Yes, and not necessarily. Obviously the vast majority of watches this sort of age have been polished a few times - some more than others, some done well, some badly, some hardly at all, some never.

Hi - it's perfectly acceptable. It depends what your criteria are and tastes/budget etc. It's a serviced watch which is good to go.

Also appears to have hand drag marks on the dial. Try to get direct macro shots from the seller to confirm.

Many thanks, this is all good stuff.

Will this drag marks devalue the watch as it is over 35 years old ?

Chaps

I managed to find a 1655 and left a deposit on it and collect it at the end of next week.

I will send in a couple of pics when I collect it as I would appreciate some advice on whether to leave the bezel in its slightly unfaded condition or get a new one fitted.

Many thanks for your previous advice, it was all very useful.

Regards

Congrats! Looking forward to the pics. The 1655 is really growing on me and I like it more each time I wear it.
