Thinking of a Sub 14060...
Looking at a used, "nice condition" 14060 Sub. Seems that prices are close to the 16610 used prices... Am I looking in the wrong places? Or, have 14060 prices closed the gap?

I have a 2004 14060M, I got it for 4,600 in NIB condition which is well below average for that condition. It seems to me that the 16610 go for 500-900 more than the no dates on average. check out watchrecon.com and type in the reference number you want. I just went through a bunch of research to find the perfect 14060M, if you want tips and info please feel free to PM me.

A couple pics to inspire you. It's truly an excellent piece and it was worth every penny to me.

Check the For Sale section here. There are usually several of both listed for a quick price comparison.

Around $1000+ USD difference at 2nd hand watch shops around here. Around $3850-$4000 for a Sub 14060/14060M and $4850-$5400 for Sub-date 16610 (and can vary over/under depending on condition).

I love the 14060 but it is slightly smaller than a Sub date. The 114060 is a superior quality watch in every way though to any 5 digit Sub

It appears that prices for the 14060 have remained firm. When I was selling mine recently, all of the reasonable offers were for $4500. The buyer backed-out and I decided to keep it after developing seller's remorse. As for papers, I found when selling another watch that the warranty card - even if it's expired - is one of those "must haves". Otherwise, demand a discount. Cheeta: great pics!

e36 M3 2 door - what year? I had a 99 e36 M3 (S52 motor) street car and we raced an e36 95 M3 LTW (with S54 transplant). Loved the e36, but unfortunately compared to the e30 and e46, the e36 is when M stood for marketing!

1997 - the year it won best handling car of the year! I hardly think it was JUST marketing, US BMW customers bothered BMW for an american M3, we did get ripped off with the engine (as you probably know Europe got almost 100 more horsepower, thanks EPA) but I love how the car looks and drives. And it gets 28mpg. She's got 74k miles. Also S52. My buddy has a E46 M3 and that's a hoot too. Great cars and good eye sir. |

14060M has something that the Sub Date doesn't have: Perfect Symmetry :)
