Best Stores In New York?

Hi guys

I am going to New York from Wednesday to Sunday for work, but am hoping to get some free time.

Vintage pieces seem to be a little cheaper there then home (London), but at same time I don't wanna get caught up looking at the tourist dealers.

Can anyone recommend a great place for vintage Rolex and Tudors where prices are fair?

Thanks

Be sure to visit John at 70 Bowery, near the intersection of Canal and Bowery. He generally opens shop at 14:30.

Try Gai Gohari on 47th st (he has a website and you can get address there) very nice guy and has some nice vintage pieces. I almost bought a rootbeer GMT 16753 from him two weeks ago but decided against it simple because I wanted my first Rolex to be a different model.

Yes, he has quickly become a dealer of some extremely fine examples of Vintage Rolex. He deals in all sorts of watches but, got into vintage Rolex about a year ago and is one of the only places I can think of with inventory and high quality pieces. Highly Recommended, Good Call.

If you want to try some interesting pieces on, Aaron Faber is okay, but be very careful of actually buying anything unless you bring a Loupe and really REALLY know your stuff. I've seen some frankenwatches there but also nice pieces, they don't really vet their trades.

For instance you can try on a PN Daytona and a DRSD, but I sure as hell wouldn't buy em.
