Fact # 3, having read Fran's elbow fact, 99% of people try to lick their own elbow to see if they can.

Fact #4. The human brain stops growing at the age of 18.

Guinness Records gets over 12 people a year submitting that they can lick there own elbow. They do not have this as an official record.
Useless fact # 1,426 - I am a part holder of a Guinness World Record. It is official, but not yet published.
THIS was always one of my 10 things I want to do before I die. I made it.

A few more...

Each year Americans spend approximately $3 billion on cat and dog food.

The RAM required to run WordPerfect for Win95 is 8 times the amount needed aboard fthe space shuttle.

A cesium atom in an atomic clock beats 9,192,631,770 times a second!.

Whitby, Ontario has more doghnut shops per capita than any other place in the world.

Most car horns honk in the key of 'F'

Most toilets flush in E flat

It it illegal to eat oranges while bathing in California

In space, astronauts are unable to cry, because there is no gravity and the tears won't flow.

And most importantly:
Researchers in Denmark found that beer tastes best when drunk to the accompaniment of a certain musical tone. The optimal frequency is different for each beer, they reported. The correct harmonious tone for Carlsberg Lager, for example, is 510-520 cycles per second.

On average, 90% Dutch teenagers can speak fluent English whereas only 80% American teenagers can speak fluent English. (seriously).

Time magazine's "Man of the Year" for 1938 was Adolf Hitler.

(for Paulie) Before 1863, postal service in the United States was free.

The 1,340-foot-long wall that gave New York's Wall Street its name was only 12 feet tall and erected in 1653 by Dutch colonists to protect against their enemies.

Chrysler built B-29's that bombed Japan, Mitsubishi built Zeros that tried to shoot them down. Both companies now build cars in a joint plant called Diamond Star.

New Zealand was the first place in the world to allow women to vote. The state of South Australia was next, in 1894, and it was also the first place to allow women to stand for parliament.

In 1974 there were 90 tornadoes in the U.S. in one day.

I can tell you from experience that this is NOT true. But it all depends on the definition of fluent
