ROLEX Red Submariner Dial question

I have a Circa 1971 Rolex Red Submariner in need of a dial. What can I expect to pay for an authentic dial and what is the approximate cost to recondition the dial currently on the watch. Any help is appreciated.

I can't answer your question, but would love to see some pics. I'm sure the true experts here would benefit from some pics also.

An original dial for a 1680 Red Sub if you can even find one is going to cost you about $1,000.00.........if you can even find someone willing to sell your dial!!!!!!!
There are a lot of fake ones out there so beware!. If you really really want to touch it up, go to UWR in Birmingham, MI. I've had some work done with them and they did a nice job......but this should be last resort........
Good Luck!.

Welcome to TRF!

What's wrong with the dial?

Please post a pic of your 1680 Red!

I would think anywhere from $1,500 for a really crappy one to $10,000+ for a minty one. ASSUMING Tritium.

Hi Neil

Yes, there are genuine Rolex Luminova service replacement dials out there.

I have seen a few posted, and also been told that they have come from watches serviced at RSC Geneva as well as RSC UK.

I would also imagine that ONLY watched submitted with genuine Red dials that are damaged would receive these replacements AND NOT white dialled Subs that "may have" originally come out with Red dials.
