Icon20 important regards rolex!!

I'm new here and having trouble with my rolex watch of which i got it in my business due to customer's relation to paying the debts. BUT, the watch is given without certificate which i believed it was made before year 1987. So, is there any ways to identify whether the watch is real made or fake??

Take the bracelet off and underneath, on the case, you will find the serial numbers and model numbers. These will help you date and identify the watch.

To ensure it has a Rolex movement inside, you need to remove the caseack and have a look inside.

I may add that you might want to post pictures here on the forum of the S/N, model numbers and the watch in general. Experts here can give you a good opinion. Personally, I wouldn't want to try to remove the caseback of a Rolex because it needs a special tool. See what the other TRF'ers say and if they are positive take your watch to an Authorized Dealer (AD) and have him verify it by opening it. It may cost you a few bucks for that, but at least you will have positive peace of mind.

The RSC in Beverly Hills, California authenticated my wife's for free.
The girl there at the counter said they will authenticate any Rolex brought in.

Hi and welcome to TRF.

If you're in Kuala Lumpur, you could pop into the Rolex Centre which is in Menara Dion, on Jalan Sultan Ismail. They can do an authenticity check for you. Or you could also try one of the many Rolex dealers around such as Hour Glass at Lot 10 or Pavilion, or the Rolex boutique in KLCC and there is one at Pavilion too.

well... s'pore as such is not that bad, but the service standards leeeave plenty to be desired. I actually find those at the AD and 3rd party ex rolex technicians who are actually more interested in your business.

RSC in s'pore is known for the "customer service"
btw to those who are wondering, im not s'porean by birth, but been there enough times to know their systems and style
