Icon20 When do the Rolex watches launched at Baselworld make it to the AD? Buy now or later?

When do the watches that are launched at Baselworld make it to the AD's shelves? When can you and me buy them? Baselworld is going to be held between 19th and 26th March, 2015 so will we have to wait for 'months' for the watches launched to make it to the market? Is there a fixed time frame as to when they make it to the AD's? Should you wait for Baselworld or pull the trigger now?

It varies by model. Between one and about six months.

Also, out of curiosity, since this is my first year being interested in watches, when do they announce the new models, or changes?
Does it happen over the days, or does every brand have a day where they announce everything?

I waited until December for the BLRO but paid for it in April. November is when my AD received their first RG Sky-Dweller and it was a sold order. The Rolex Boutiques always get the first allotments. Depends on the AD. Buying later somtimes will save you some money but depends on the model.

Usually, the first ones start trickling in no earlier than June and dealer availability will gradually increase in the following months.

Somewhere between May-October.
It seems in the past it would take months until Fall but in recent years the new references have been showing up sooner.

If its a totally new watch and movement around 6-9 months after Basel, but if its a slightly revamped model, like the most of Rolex Basel releases over the past 20 odd years around 2- 3 months.
