Vintage Rolex

My Grandparents used to own this Rolex, I have it at my house in my safe for years now.

All I'm trying to find out is which model it is, and for a female or male? I couldn't find anything on the Rolex homepage. Also how much is a watch like this worth?

Thank you

Its a two tone, probably reference 1500. The smooth bezel oyster bracelet combo isn't a common one. One of my favorites. Worth around $2-3k http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/...and-black-dial

Wow didn't expect that!!

The one you linked me is worth that much without the band. Does mine gonna be worth even more because the band?

I personally think that estimate was a bit high and would expect yours to sell around $2000-2500, there was one at the pawn shop near me last year that sold for $1500 with band, which was a good deal but it had a bad dial, and black dials tend to fetch a bit more

Sounds good thank you.

Would the best place to sell a watch like this be eBay?

Best place to sell a watch like this is not eBay. Sell it privately
Via a local store. In your case there is just too much
That could go wrong. The offers you'll get will be lower
Than that valuation, but one in the hand is worth more
Than...
