2015 OP 39mm vs. Explorer

Okay so now that the Oyster Perpetual is coming out in 39mm, what'll be the difference between that and the Explorer?

I thought I'd be in on the 39 mm OP until I saw that the bezel is in fact domed. That's a deal breaker for me. I'd be all in on the Explorer if the minute hand was a little longer. Ultimately I'll either get the Explorer or a Milgauss.

The Explorer may not be as popular as some sports models, but man it is a very nice watch!

My DJ has the domed bezel and I like it better than the fluted.

While the minute hand on the Explorer (214270) looks pretty bad in macro shots, when it's on the wrist, it not an issue at all.

While most of us will ogle our watches from time to time, in real life circumstances, all we ever do is give the thing a glance, so that we can know what time it is.

I will admit that the hand lengths on my DJ are just about perfect in my view and that pleases me.

Have to try them in person is the only way to know. The new OPs are very nice and frankly refreshing to see a non gold, platinum or jewel encrusted Rolex, which gets back to what really put the marque on the map.

Explorer for me, bracelet with extension link, classic 3,6,9 (Explorer on the dial!). Different hands, different coronet on the dial ...

I love EasyLink but.....I know this is heresy, I'd like to see an Explorer with a white face as well. I find my polar Explorer II so much easy to read at a glance.

There was nothing released this year by Rolex that works better than this.

The EXP has been growing on me lately...that said, really like the clean look or the new OP's.

Spot on Gary. If the thought of a white dial Explorer is heresy then we go to the same church. I'd like to see it too!

They're both nice, OP being refreshing but I truly adore my 214270.
