First Time Post

I have a Vintage Rolex Watch that I purchased from my Brother-In-Law thirty years ago. Recently the band broke and I lost it. However, I was lucky enough to retrace my steps and find it in the place of business where it was lost. I realized it's value to me at that time and thought that I should learn more about it. I didn't know the history of Rolex or the extent of the manufacture and multitude of models that have been made. My jeweler is not that knowledgable of Rolex watches. I have been monitoring this site and decided to post to see if anyone could help me. The jeweler was able to get the following information from inside the case. It is as follows...14k0585.
6567;25 jewel;1030. We believe the watch is from the 1950's, possibly 1953-1958. It has Rolex Oyster Perpetual on the face along with Officially Certified Chronometer. It has a gold notched bezel around the Crystal and is all gold and not steel and gold. I'm a novice at this, so I may be using incorrect terminology. Thanks for any help, Al

Welcome. You may want to post this in the Rolex general discussion area as more people will be likely to see it there. Also, if you can post a few pics of the watch that would be helpful to the resident experts of which I am not.

yeah, welcome to TRF! You can DEFINITELY get answers here from our expert members...but they have to see your post first. Maybe ask the MODERATORS to MOVE this to ROLEX GENERAL DISCUSSION forum? (I agree with Mike).
best,
dan

Welcome to TRF, Al!

Judging from the description, it sounds like you have a very nice Rolex! But as stated, pics would be helpful.

Enjoy TRF!
