There is one for sale on time zone with the first logo. I don't think it's fake, the top picture is from Google.

I'm the furthest thing from an expert on these topics but the coronet in the top photo looks a bid odd.

I've looked at a lot of 14060 and 14060m dials in pictures and there are subtle variations between all of them. Here are a few examples:

1 - in some, the R and P in OYSTER PERPETUAL look to have two spaces and in others 1 space
2 - in some, the E and R in SUBMARINER appear to be further spaced apart than others
3 - the P in PERPETUAL aligns with the right hand side of the O in ROLEX while in others it aligns with the L in ROLEX.

In most that I've seen that appear to be authentic the Coronet doesn't change.

Yes I recall a thread on the Deepsea dial differences not long ago. The first series had a crown that was thinner and taller, the later (and current) runs had crowns that were slightly shorter and fatter.

Some people expressed hope that since the first is more rare, their watches might have higher resale. I'm not so sure but who knows?

Its been a similar scenario over the past 40 years but now with loupe mania and the Internet its been noticed mainly by the WIS type Rolex owner.But now today these very tiny font/colour differences in many ways blown way out of proportion with quotes like being mistake dial,Mk1,Mk2 Mk3 and so on dials, rare, or even limited editions dials.

I would just attribute it to different dial manufactures/batches. There are a lot of write ups about font and coronet differences in ceramic subs.

Rolex certainly sells watches with small variations in the dial design. But chalking it up to "different manufacturers" doesn't make sense. Is Rolex sketching the design on the back of a napkin and leaving the implementation to whomever? For their own logo?

Rolex's design department would have prepared camera-ready art or lithographic film - or nowadays a digital file - to be used in preparation of the ink plate. I can't imagine subcontracting the manufacture of a dial (if they even do that) and not exercising complete control of the design.

This would be like having a book printed at a different press and it coming back set in a different font. That's not how printing is done.
