Peter brought up a valid point............
.....and I went to my closet to check my Rolex boxes.
Low and behold, I found a thin layer of dust inside a few of them (haven't paid any attention to them for years). Now my question is, do I have to send them to BSC (Boxes Service Center) or is there a way I can do this myself? How do you service your boxes? |

A little dust on the inside of the box will give it a soul, just like the first dent of the box, it will hurt a bit the first 30 years but it will get better. just relax and enjoy the box!

You must rotate them around I heard on a weekly basis to ensure equal dust patina and fading lol

I'm pretty sure Peter has previously forewarned us that Rolex watches and boxes should be kept in specially designed vacuum sealed rooms.

Just put them under the tap. They are mainly made of plastic and vinyl so nothing that can be damaged. Put them outside in the sun so the cheap velour can dry out.

I'm shocked you don't have them in a box winder in the safe first off. Secondly do not attempt home repair for this issue you may void the warranty by changing factory parts or settings. A quick trip to bsc and you will get a new box warranty after service.
A quick search of the threads would have pointed you to the answer on box service. |

One serious comment though, the manuals stick to the box 'leather' material if you have their surfaces touching and kept together for extended periods
