I love these but would really like a 6541. I don't know the price on these 1019's but I have seen some 6541's...Ouch! It's probably a more rare bird than a 5508 but if you have to sell the 5508 to do it. Hmm, that is a tough one. It's very nice looking at the photos again. Sorry no help I guess.

Love the Milgauss 1019! Very nice example there. Later production with the 1/2 hash mark and flat hands. Black dial is certainly less common than silver. The red really pops on this dial.

Service dial and hands. Average case. Likely replaced band too. If you've waited this long, I would hold out a little longer . . . .

The frosted hands are service, and the luminous markers on the dial appear not to be Tritium matter. They match the hands, and I would guess the dial and hands were mounted on the watch at the same servicing. If you look hard, you can find the early 1019 black version with silver printing and 1/5 seconds track for well under $30K. I would recommend you do just that.

No, I believe that all original 1019 were fitted with the plated, beveled hands. I have always seen these in service packages. In addition, the luminous markers on the dial are typical of later service dials. What is the age of this watch, in any event?

It's sold as a '68... I've asked them for the serial number because if it is a '68 those hands are not the original ones i think

For sure dial and hands service, in that case. One can't even make an argument otherwise with a straight face. I don't think that is the one for you to reach for, particularly if you are giving up one of your watches in trade. I think you will do better if you stay on the hunt.
