Time for some ticking love! The 17014 Oysterquartz!

Had to show some love for my battery ticking little friend from my collection. It's just been such a pleasure having this watch thus far since it's so unlike all other Rolexes in my herd. The sturdiness of the bracelet combined with the white gold bezel and the cool "squareish" case is just genius.
Some pics:

I am with you...The ticking is a bit annoying from time to time, I must tell you. The case, bezel, bevels and bracelet is just so well designed together that it makes up for the ticking IMO...

Exactly how I felt when I decided to pull the trigger!! Since they don't make them anymore I am pretty sure prices will increase over time.
Both mine 6 months ago for 2530 Usd with full set. Last weekend one was sold at auction here for 4340 usd incl. Commission...

AP was first...some say that Rolex was "inspired" by the Royal oak model when they did this one...

There's plenty of vintage Rolex DNA in the Oysterquartz case, especially from models like the Imperial and Viceroy

I wore that model every day for 25 years (except when it needed the battery changed). it's built like a tank-indestructable- but it does tick loud- really loud. Wish I still had it, though.

I hear ya! Sometimes I love the ticking and sometimes it annoys the heck out of me : )
