AD Visit - LN VS BLNR
I needed to get out of the office this morning, so I went to the AD to try on some GMT's (good stress reliever), as I'm still undecided on which to get.
Here's a comparison shot, notice the LN's cyclops mag isn't as strong? I mentioned it to the salesperson and she said "we don't pay attention to what we put out, but thanks mentioning it." I bit my tongue on her response, but I guess it's the difference between a WIS and some sales people. It's a battle of Green vs Blue (I know, not another one). |

Both look great, if the lighter part of the blue color palate doesnt bother you I go would with BLNR from 8-10 feet feet away looks black anyway under normal lighting conditions. Also if resale value is a factor definitely BLNR. Black of course always solid, sporty & slick. Hope that helps BLNR also a bit more flavor.

LN - just a classier all round look in my opinion. This is coming from someone who owns an LV Sub, lol. I must me tired of color.

i think the LN is classic and will be for all time.

Seems to be the minority opinion on this forum, but I prefer the LN to the BLNR, one reason being that I vastly prefer the green GMT hand.
Besides, I don't like my watches telling me it's still daytime when I start drinking at 5. Got my wife for that. |

Honestly, you know you are going to get people favoring both iterations so good luck in advance with this thread not causing even more indecision. They are the same watch so it is strictly a matter of personal preference. So unless your desire is to own the one more of us like better I advise deciding for yourself.
So I suggest you don't buy either since you apparently haven't made up your mind yet. Poor idea to spend this kind of money when you aren't really sure which one you want. Both are great so in that vein there is no wrong choice. But you really need to be set on the one YOU want before pulling the trigger.

BLNR. Makes the watch just that little bit more interesting.

Not to mention that having one all black ceramic model means you don't have to concern yourself with getting the awesome-but-very-similar-looking standard Sub and go straight for the 116610LV or (even better) the 116619LB. Not to give you any ideas or anything. |

I am in the minority as well in favoring the LN, if resale is not of concern to you.

Not sure I understand this, unless he is paying full MSRP. Yes, the BLNR sells for more second hand (and costs more upfront), but the discounts are pretty small on that piece, as opposed to the LN. All depends on what you pay on the front end.

BLNR for me. Love the multi-colored bezel and dislike the green GMT hand.
Now, if the LN had a red hand like it should then it would be really tough. |

BLNR seems to hold value more as compared to the LN. In regards to discounts, I can get somewhat of a discount on the BLNR...but a better discount on the LN. Either way the BLNR is still more money.

Easy, BLNR.
The 3 liner font of the LN looks unsymmetrical. |

I went for the 116713 myself but I too favor the LN over the BLNR. Again though, it really is just personal preference. I'm not big on blue generally; it's not one of my favorite car colors either. Also, several members have mentioned resale but I'm not convinced that's significant. Certainly the BLNR right now is probably retaining a better percentage of MSRP, but the deal you can get against MSRP on a new LN is a lot better than the BLNR so most of that perceived advantage is probably negated.
