Richard Mille
Had the amazing opportunity to try on a couple of Richard Mille's at the weekend. Amazing amazing watches, absolutely incredible. I read all the time that photos do not do them justice and now that I've seen them in person I can 100% confirm this to be correct.
Please enjoy the short video I recorded of my experience. I tried my best to capture the amazing light reflections of all the hand polished finishes at different angles. https://youtu.be/2p-Og4TwxHw |

Exceptional watches. I need to find a gently used RM11 some day.

Well it didn't also for me at first, same for the Nautilus and for ROO's, but that changed and it's a good thing when it takes you some time to like something, it's like songs, a very commercial song you usually like when hearing the first time but you grow quickly tired of it, whereas non commercial songs take some time to be appreciated and you will continue to do so even after hearing it many times, I feel it's a little bit the same for watches and other things, I got the Nautilus, the ROO and would love to get a RM, but won't happen anytime soon I'm afraid, but that's ok, more than happy with my duo
And about these 2 the first one in pics I didn't like very much but on vid it's already much more tempting, I am sure that in real life it's amazing |

Yes they are amazing watches. I also had the pleasure of trying on the super rare Yohan Blake tourbillon watch. I didn't get a video of it but I got a few pictures. This watch is abit love/hate for most, it's obviously not the most conventional looking piece with it's 'seaweed' case. But it is absolutely stunning in person. A true pleasure on the wrist. So so light, it was by far the lightest piece they had in the Richard Mille boutique in London (they didn't have any Nadals in stock due to 'overwhelming demand')
Truly amazing piece, and this was one of the last ones ever made with a serial number very close to 50. It's still for sale, just wish I had a spare $612,000. Insane money for an insane watch. |

What an unnecessarily rude thing to say to someone with different and Id argue more advanced taste than you have.

Certainly not cheap or poorly made
That said, not to my taste. I guess something fun for the collector who has several RM

Im to OCD to have a watch that's not symmetrical. My poor little brain can't cope. And my poor little wallet couldn't cope either.

But it looks cheap and poorly made. For that much money you would think they wouldn't make it look like a cheap toy. Plastic green goo. That watch is a hot mess. |

Honest question: do you just come on here to try and prod people that like different things than you do?

I wasn't a fan of Panerai at first but it grew on me, maybe with time RM might grow on me too.

Isn't the discussion of differing opinions one of the core reasons that internet forums exist? I never said Mille watches are ugly, or cheap, or any thing of the sort. I actually think that they are generally quite striking watches. Except for the hideously grotesque green goo plastic thing pictured in this thread. I even understand why it's green. That is still one ugly watch. The other one in the post is quite lovely. |
