what time does your watch change date?
I just noticed today for the first me that my SS GMTIIc changes date at 12:05AM.... (from 31st to 1st).
What times does your watch change date???????? Is this normal? I've had my watch for about 1 week. |

Its a mechanical watch, it varies. The behaviour of your GMTIIc with respect to date change is fine, nothing wrong with it
My SD changes approximately 1.5 minutes past midnight.

Yes that is normal in some cases, there was a topic like this accept the owner had a Yachtmaster. Really no reason to worry.

Same here...always a little over 1 minute, but never more than 2...and that's if I'm sitting completely still.
RolexNoob: I bet if you shake your wrist anytime after 12:01AM it will instantly flip...but even if it takes up to 5 mins, there's nothing to worry about. My 6+ year old Omega SMP flips around 5 mins past and has been doing it from day 1 & I'm happy to report I've never had any problems with it. Mechanical watches kick butt...but they are all just a little bit different. |

The first few months my SD was very erratic with the date change. It was anywhere form 1 min to 3+ mins after midnight while the time was very consistent. It still varies but is now approximately 1 minute after midnight. I'm not sure why the inconsistencies exist but a few minutes shy or plus of midnight are completely normal.

My GMT IIC changes at 00:00 give or take a few seconds, if I am ever up that late.

My older GMT consistently changes about -1 to -2 minutes before midnight.
My Explorer II changes about +1 to +2 minutes after midnight. My Longines watch changes EXACTLY at midnight and it has even consistently done so!!

My Sub behaved like Mike's SD when I first had it. For about a month or so, it would change at about 4 and half minutes past midnight. Now it's three months old, seemingly "settled in" its now changing over at 1 to 2 minutes past.
Bet yours will do the same.

In the beginning, the date consistantly shifted 2 minutes BEFORE midnight. Now, two months later, the date flips over 1 minute PAST midnight - consistantly.

When my GMT-ll 16710 was new it would change at approx 3:20 minutes past 12:00 but after about 3 months settling in it changed to about 1:30-2 minutes past and has consistantly since.

Just watched the change last night for the first time (I'm not a night owl) and it changed to the 1st at 12:00.50 and that's close enough for me Wow it was so fast when it clicked too

My GMT II M series also changes date at around 12:05AM. It must be due to the new 3186 movement.....
