A Rolex Night
I went out last night with a friend and he brought along some others I knew but barely. 5 of us total. Shocker. Being the WIS that I am I quickly looked at everybody's wrist to see what timepiece they were wearing.
Breakdown. Me I had on my White Dial SS Daytona. Amongst the others was a new Sub Date. A 5513 Submariner. Very old one too in great shape. A gift passed on to my friend from his Dad. A Zenith Black Dial SS Daytona. L serial number I think he said. A Black Dial SS Daytona. Everyone of us had on a Rolex and we did not plan this. Great Rolex viewing and due to my membership here on this forum I was able to tell everybody a little something they did not know about thier watches. I may have came off as an idiot savant even with all the knowledge learned here I was spewing. Fortunately did not drink so that was the only thing I was spewing. Wish I had my camera, but then they might have thought I was weirder than I actually am as I took pictures of thier wrists. |

Tom,
That story is so amazing. That sort of thing would not happen here that readily in Melbourne. Cheers Michael |

What are the odds that all five would have the same brand of watch?

Yeah, Tom, I've had nights like that. Most people don't even notice because it's just a tool watch. That's what you wear in that world. No WIS but me present. So I never "spewed." Of course that was way before I joined this forum and didn't know enough (and still don't) to "spew" about.

That would be nice....I rarely am in company of other Rolexes. I feel like I'm all alone out here
