Yes he's being sarcastic. Sorry but it's old news now, and Alpino was first to announce the new warranty several weeks ago

Just a day later and you would have had the 5yrs warranty...is it too late to return?

.

Sorry Madmax21 if I have been rude ... new warranty have been the major subject on TRF for about one month ... thus my little sarcasm.

one day cost 2 year

true it did cost me two years but it's a Rolex and truthfully I'm not really worried about it so much in terms of the warranty the problem that happened was I was missing my COSC tag and I really wanted it and that's how I found out about all this

I think we need to understand that the only new thing is the green tag. The watches on display at AD's haven't changed overnight. Same thing goes with service intervals, people here post that Rolex now recommends a longer time between service, but if you bought your watch 1 day before July 1st, it's as good as if you had bought it the next day.
Bottom line: don't worry.

I think the owner's manual has changed. That's kind of important.

When my 1 year old watch breaks in year 4 or 7 and I'm pointing to my owner's manual that service is needed every 3 years it is tough to make may case.

I don't think I've never seen any Rolex manual recommend 3 years... If I recall correctly they suggested about every 5 years depending on use.

Yes I understand that. The point I'm making is that the watch itself hasn't changed overnight. It was built at a random date in the previous weeks/months/year. I'm simply saying that the watch somebody bought after July 1st isn't any better than the one bought on June 30th. That's all.

My new Daytona had green tags. Guess I won the lottery twice by purchasing it yesterday ;)

Daytona delivered to AD on Friday, green tags, slightly different box to my others, compartment in the lid opens to store card etc. I have not looked at the book yet, posted a few quick snaps yesterday on "scooooper day"

Since Rolex has 5 years warranty period now, would that applicable for Tudor watch soon?

So if I have a red one on a watch purchased one year ago, will it automatically change to green?
